Since my sister Cathy appears to have the same dress on (she was never a fashion plate), same hair do (she was never did much with that mop of  hers except perhaps color it now), she appears to have not grown an inch from the previous picture (and still remains about that same height), and she had Mrs Burke in third grade (I know that since she ruined it for me as I followed her into Mrs Burke's class, and as you know Cathy was always a D type student, Mrs Burke naturally thought I did not fall far from the branch and gave me the same grades).. given all that I can only conclude that this is the following year in 2nd grade, Green Street, and have no clue who that Wonder Years Looking teacher is?

Oh.. and who are the happy guys next to Marva Lucas (I believe), top row, 4th from the right? Steven Bender maybe?, and the other guy top row 4th from the left, next to Sue Ryan maybe?  I want some of what they are on, please send!

The photo is my second grade class at Green Street (1959-1960 school year). Miss Sherman is the teacher.   She was one of my favorites. I have the names of everyone in the photo if anyone is interested. I'm in the top row-third from the right between Russell Koslow and Jeff Bender. I can't believe there were 29 of us in the class. I teach second grade and I would not be able to effectively teach that many students in this day and age. I love seeing all the old photos.
