Regarding the new photo....
I vaguely remember you and Peter taking a dip in the lake
while I stayed in the car keeping the heater running but I thought it
was at the Pier and from the background of this picture it certainly

Doug, Oh I recognize the photo alright. Jack, my brother, is the guy on the
left lifting you out and Ed Macaulay, my husband, is the one on the right
and I am probably under the large blanket in the racoon coat! Ah to be young
and foolish!

Well, this photo didn't get a lot of reaction. My recollection is this: One day in Latin class Betsey told us about a tradition that her grandmother had in years gone by: she and friends would cut a hole in the ice and take a "swim" on New Year's Day. I foolishly suggested that we do it and Betsey accepted my "dare". The photo tells the rest of the story...
